| i think that teen pregnancy is sadly becoming glorified in this generation. now kudos to you for taking responsibility, but as you know the majority of teens that get pregnant do not do this, so i am speaking to them, not to you when i say this. teens today are trying to grow up too fast. they see sex glamorized in the media, and they think that that's the pinnacle of maturity. so you see 12 and 13 year olds dressing like tramps and having sex with any one they can. they have role models like miley cyrus that tell them it's okay. they have schools that teach them from kindergarten what sex is, and then in the next year teach them that abortion is perfectly safe. sometimes they have parents that don't tell them the dangers, but that's rare. mostly these girls think, i'm old enough to do what and who i want, so i will. but then they seem to forget what causes pregnancy. so they get pregnant, and the first thing they say is, "i'm too young." in my opinion, if you're old enough to have sex and whore around, then you're old enough to know what causes it and know how to prevent it and you're old enough to have a baby. they don't want to take responsibility. society tells them that it's okay, you just made a mistake, so come get this perfectly safe and emotionally pleasant abortion, and you can go back to being a guy. so they get an abortion, and then are scarred emotionally for life. abortion is nothing more than an easy way out. it promotes promiscuity. even worse, these guys don't learn from their mistakes. the next week they're out there screwing random person 22. the people that support abortion hide it behind a comfortable phrase like "non living ball of cells", but anyone with a brain can see that if given the chance that "ball of cells" turns into a living breathing baby. when it comes down to it, the human body is just a bunch of cells. but they don't want to feel bad about what they do, or look bad, because it's just a ball of cells. don't get me wrong, i support abortion in extreme cases such as rape or health of the mother, like an ectopic pregnancy. but for those that think they are mature, let them act mature. i have no sympathy for them or their ignorance. now for the teens that do keep their guyren, i respect them, because not only does it show maturity and responsibility, but it shows that the world isn't completely controlled by what the media finds okay. it is a little sad, because most of them do not have financial support, and it makes it hard to go to school, but once again, it was their choice to have sex so they should take responsibility. i myself am a teen mom, 19, but i am married and we have steady income, and i do know who the father is, unlike many teen moms, and he is just as excited as i am to have a baby. |

| Commenting on an above answer, just because you are a teen and get pregnant, it doesn't mean you don't have a stable job and are irresponsible. I got married at 16, had my guy at 17, and we have stable jobs with stable income. People need to think before they speak, or in this case, type. Try counting to ten. Teen pregnancy is just a label.
